Bucky 0.2.8 script description:

Publisher review:

When you say performance, most webmasters automatically think of a server.

As an apology for automatic train of thought, we must say that for many years this was true, mainly because a website or online service relied on the server mainly to run.

In recent years, thanks to the rise of client-side technologies like JavaScript, and the new CSS and HTML standards, more and more resources are being used on the client-side, raising the question "Is my app/website working properly in the client's browser?"

Bucky is a relatively new technology, made of two parts. One for testing, recording and sending performance-related data from the client's side. The second Bucky part runs on a server and is used to receive and store the data sent by the Bucky client.

This way developers can see how their service fairs on the client's PC and browser, how is the site loaded, what are the response times, and so on.

Bucky doesn't take too much space, is easy to include inside an existing application or service, and also comes with comprehensive support for AJAX operations as well as classic page loads.

Recorded data is at sub-millisecond precision, and when reaching the server it can be recorded using tools like statsd, Graphite, OpenTSDB, or any other statistical data collecting software.

Bucky 0.2.8 is a script for Graphs and Charts scripts design by HubSpot, Inc.. It runs on following operating system: Windows / Linux / Mac OS / BSD / Solaris.

Operating system:
Windows / Linux / Mac OS / BSD / Solaris
